Forever Lost.

Forever Lost.

A Poem by Lydia

I am swimming in a sea of forgetfulness
That only pretends to be calm.
They are fixing the streetlights again
And I am walking down the stairs,
Wishing for a better day
At the bottom of the steps.

I have lost touch and am lost in thought,
Wondering if the way I am is good enough for you,
Or if I should dye my hair again.
I am unsure of reality
And cannot figure out if it is there at all.

lowercase.  Uppercase.
Does it make a difference?

I am an ever-flowing stream of consciousness
Flowing through your hollow parts.
You can’t get me out.
Your eyes sparkle harder than I’ve ever seen.
Sleeping on your chest,
Tightly wrapping your arms around me.
I am in love.
I am forever lost.
