Cave Run

Cave Run

A Poem by Lydia

The sun hits the water, the trees, your face,
  reflecting off of everything,
The world around me seems to glow a golden hue.
It's you, my love, the sun.
At times, I feel destined to be your moon,
chasing the coattails of your dawn and dusk.
Spending a moment in your presence
  washes out my pale glow.
Your light is eternally in my soul.
The wind blows.  God is running
His fingers through our tousled hair.
The water laps on the shale stone shore,
as the clouds twist unnaturally above.
            Your energy is overwhelming
to the point of pure joy.
Love spills forth from us.
We exchange souls, for a moment,
before realizing we are just the same.
