It Always Rains on Thursdays.

It Always Rains on Thursdays.

A Poem by Lydia

The drops fall from the sky
And from my wet hair,
Running down my chest.
My mind wanders back to you,
Four ones on the clock
And I’m wishing you
Remembered the love we shared;
But some things begin only to end.
My heart stands stagnant inside my breast
And I am weakened by the emotions
Who fight against my will to be released.
So I take up my pen again,
Since I always rain on Thursdays,
Since the sky always cries on Kentucky,
Because you never cry out for me.

Nice poem. I think it has a somber yet lovely aura to it. I really enjoyed the last three lines, especially the last line that brought it all together! Thanks for writing.
