A Poem by Lydia

I have never understood the need of letting go
When you were the only one I ever longed to hold.
I am shaking and starving and I love,
For so long I loved,
And was graced with return.
And now, love goes unanswered,
Like my prayers for forgiveness.
I wallow in self-loathing,
And I torture myself with thoughts of the past.
I long for a kiss that has meaning
And the fire in your eyes.

Well, I hope you get the fire back! I try not to dwell on the past, it doesn't do me any good. This was really really good.

This was deep young one.
I truly enjoyed reading this.
Hopefully, that fire returns and
you get your reply.
Again, good write.
