A Dying Cause.

A Dying Cause.

A Poem by Lydia

If nobody’s listening,

Then why do you speak?

I lie lonely,

Waiting for what I do not know,

Waiting for everything.

Tell me about infinity

And what it’s like

To want to die

Just to have a chance to live.

Why die for a cause

That would never die for you?

The pieces have yet

To come together

And I wait.

Accustomed to my melancholy,

Adapted to the feeling of being alone,

Wondering what it will feel like,

Wishing the lost face would be shown.
