Hypomania

Hypomania

A Poem by Lydia
"

CW: Sex

"
manic manic
like
stay up until 4 or 5
spend three hours online
making lists of reasons:
Why You Should
Get a Snake
only partially innuendo
I go, you go, we go
go go go
Go, GO
yes yes YES
like that
do it like that
dance yourself
clean
you little dream team
are you sleeping
or are you just
off your meds
again
again
and you find joy
but fleeting
like your heart
above the sun
and you find peace
collapsing
when the going's
finally done
[in the moments you're not
thinking about the way you would
hang yourself in the garage
until someone saw -
you were everywhere and nowhere
that's what happens
when we die,
we become this
presence in the minds
of those who knew us
and when everyone who knew us
fades off too,
the great big yonder
swallows all]
flashy maul
fleshy squall
shopping mall
it's just money
it's just money
and he's gambling
and he's luck so
he's winning
and we
say
let's not f**k
but we don't mean it
mean it
I want to scream it
we don't mean it
I don't think he means it
I am taking the
statistical average
of everything likely
and the way it never
works out and
dividing it gently
with a warm
welcome entry
and the work
I plan to put out
pull out
don't pull out
I can't take it
when they walk away
I can't seem to let them stay
out out out
damned spots
stay out
come in
so nice to see you again
panic panic
too much and
too far
too much and
too far
why is it always
too far
