Vixen

Vixen

A Poem by Lydia

She tempts me like you used to
magic woman
eyes like fire
lips like sin
I miss the feeling of my fingers
curled up in your hair
thunder storm goddess
I still ache for your touch
Are there stars where you are?
I ask because you alone
always were my moon
Take me with the tide
the biggest mistake of my life
too scared to show you
that I would burn the world down
give up everything
to taste your lithe tongue
for the rest of my days
She may be a magic woman
but darling she does not have
the kind of spell that you cast
lasting half my life
longing always for your love

replacements for affection are but stand-ins...but are not the original...they cannot
hold the same magic that we had in the past ....
I have let opportunities go in the past...if only I could have shown the feelings, if only .
another absorbing write.
