Shattered

Shattered

A Poem by Lydia

Show me your broken parts
Even though their sharp edges
May cut us both
I will look upon them and love you still
Even with the ugly strokes life paints us
These jagged pieces
Shine in the light like diamonds
Prayers will not save us
Empty words thrown with hope at the heavens
Fruitless and vacant like the sky
