Coalescence

Coalescence

A Poem by Lydia

You are coming to me
while I dream
like you belong there
with words I can't repeat
for fear they'll lose their magic

The quiet sparkle of the night
and the stars tossed in the sky
feel as home to me as I've ever been

I soak it in
this is not just any other
it cannot be
I know you

I know how the sun
looks when it rises
how the moon makes
her path across the sky

It is the same
I know you

Like the back of my hand

Let me swim in the deep pools
of your soft eyes
let me memorize this disguise

Bless the Raven who remembered the face of my soul
messages of light in the darkness
