Modern Romance

A Poem by Lydia

Our torrid love -
Violent not with hatred
But with the ferocious grace
Of a leopard's kill
Or of the ocean
In the midst of a whirlpool -
Has now dissolved
Into a sad series
Of Instagram likes
And unanswered
Phonecalls.

Comparing one's love to the ferocious grace of a leopard's kill is quite genius. I really enjoyed the read!
