Story of the Moon

Story of the Moon

A Poem by Moonlilly
"

A girl looks at the moon and sees only her forbidden lovers face.

"

Please tell me, the story of the moon
as it shines down, so softly murmuring
it will sing, for you and me
in the dark blue moonlight glimmering.

Now we, will fall into the dream,
we share for a eternal moment,
as all new lovers will
live only in the present .

Death will pay, our only fare
and faithfullness fades away
amber lights pale as in the
summer breeze of a far-off day.

It will come to pass
as the moon and sea ever, ever dream
silent, still and stifled
but if you listen the sea will scream.

I seek you out,
in the chilling rain
but will you ever seek out me
in the endless day that is your bane.

Please tell me, the story of the moon
as it shines down, so softly murmuring
it will sing, for you and me
in the dark blue moonlight glimmering.

This poem of forbidden love is so much better than mine.

I feel your intimate emotions. It cries of desperation, of not knowing if your lover shares your feelings.

Thanx.
