Catching Angels

Catching Angels

A Poem by Michelle Peters

I caught an angel kissing the moon

That orb of light how it glistened

The sky dancing with the stars

As the angel sings, will you listen?

I caught another angel inside a cloud

Nestled in soft embrace

She rests her wings now folded

Her extensions of feathered lace

Another angel passing by

I caught him in serenade

Euphoria casts through the twilight

Veiled in cerulean shade

Heaven's lid begins to yawn

As the aurora peeps through the stars

The eventide is at it's edge

And so it begins to drift afar

The angels now slumberous

Return to the great divine

I caught the angels playing

In magical entwine.
