The Day the World Changed

They thought it was an accident

They thought this would never happen

They were wrong

 

The plane crashed once, then twice

Killing millions

We were under attack and there was nothing we could do

Those who were trapped died slowly

Fire claiming their lives

 

Many wept at the sight

Their families and friends gone forever more

We did everything we could do

But we couldn’t stop this horror

Author's Note

This happened yet we had no way of knowing what was going on, many lost their lives because of this. Its one of the most terrible things that has ever happened in my life, besides losing my dad.

Such a real story....it was true, the 9/11 incident was the worst, and I'm sad that so many people died. You really put the incident into a vivid painting of words, and I enjoyed reading it. All of those who died will be missed.
