Gone

Gone

A Poem by iisuntouchable

I find my way through another lost day

Stumbling through shadows of memories

And its you that's forever in my way

Black clouds hang heavy

As the somber parade marches on

But its you I still feel next to me

There's an uneasiness that lingers here

The ghosts of souls lost to love

Whisper your name and prey on my fears

I take one of the yellow and two of the red

Then I crawl deep into the dark

And try to escape the vacancy you left in my bed

I feel your lips soft and sweet on mine

You breathe life back into me

And somehow slow the sands of time

Constellations form under fingertips of ecstasy

And butterfly kisses trace to the nape of your neck

Lead to crashing waves on a turning sea

Love and lust shine in your emerald eyes

And I can't think of a better place to be

As my fingers glide over your thighs

Nothing feels more right

Than your body intertwined with mine

And the vision of you in my arms all night

These memories bleed into dreams

And I'm taken away

To a place where nothing is as it seems

Damn the morning and the light she brings with her

She takes you away from me

Reminds me of how you left in a blur

About
I've been writing poetry for ten years or so now. I've allowed life to get in the way of my writing, one of the few places I used to escape to and I hope to get back into it more regularly. Thanks t.. more..
