Messiah like me

Messiah like me

A Poem by Rachika Evelyn Fauz

There seem to be people round me
Up and down in and out
What do they seek?
Is it god? Themselves?
You? Me?
Who is it they seek?
Finding in them rustless wrecks
Seeking endless shores
Shores of forgotten emptiness

We love pain
Makes us feel
We love misery,
Sure misery always loves company

why do they seek?
For whom?
For who?
Can't they stay still?

Stillness is forgotten?
Rushed by the tides of tiredness
In stillness i find me
But stillness requires all of me
The core rotten beseeched apple
For lone and forgotten

Did Miss Beauty bite you?
Did she hurt you little apple?
Even the apple ain't still anymore

Why oh why,
Heavens tell me why?
Ha! God harks,
God, dog whatever.
Matters none to me.

I am not an atheists if you will.
But again seeing humans
Scrambled ants as such
Roads and rods, back bent
Books and bags bookbags

Maybe it is to be better
Maybe it is a just a lie,
Who knows.
Maybe what they seek is
Nomore nowhere.
Maybe it's a far-cry from truth.
Maybe its all a big game
For some messiah

Some Jesus freak up in the sky
Play with these mortals Lucy
'I'll be your chariot tonight'
