I saw her in a dream,
A visitor from another world.
She was a fairy of blue-green wings
That glistened as they unfurled.
Her skin of pearly white,
Like the marble of some old vault,
Was untouched by the sunlight,
And her eyes were of gleaming cobalt.
Her hair was silky coal,
And she sat upon an onyx stone,
Singing of places long ago
Where humans never roamed.
Her voice was a high-pitched bell
Ringing in my ear,
And if she gave a yell,
It was something you could barely hear.
She comes to see me on those days
In which I've put all cares behind me.
She mesmerizes me with her gaze
As forbidden mushrooms float
inside me.
