Nothing Matters

Nothing Matters

A Poem by prettybretty

I have been deadpan
I've listened to Chopin
I've read Chopin
Looking for you
I listened to Bobby
I listened to Frank
But still inside
My heart sank
I've looked out my window
For a new view
Searching for you
I've looked up at the sky
Studied its every cloud and hue
I've asked many reasons why
Not to get a reply
But to long for truth
I went to Florida
To look for the Fountain of Youth
I've felt the bags under my eyes
I have sighed heavy sighs
I've looked at many guys
All in vain
And my first seems my last
And my future seems my past
And my heart's a shattered glass
'Cause it's all not meant to last
Look at this
Nothing matters
Nothing matters
