Morgan of the Sea

Morgan of the Sea

A Poem by prettybretty

Conceived by the moonlit lake

After a decade of daydreams

The angels sang to my dearest love

My Morgan of the Sea

And when my Morgan had grown

Into a young one kind and smart

He began to inject that kindness

And love into every heart

The world made my Morgan

No longer naive

But he remained innocent

And true love he did receive

Now, as I wade in the moonlit lake

I see it was only a dream

Take my belongings, but let me keep

My Morgan, the only one I need
