All She Was Worth

All She Was Worth

A Poem by prettybretty

I’m sure you have forgotten
the damage inflicted
by your mind so rotten
on a tiny victim

If I fall asleep you’ll find me
a vulnerable child
And again I’ll end up hiding
Life drew the wild card
So the joker is on me

I should have run,
I should have run
When you went for the gun,
straight for the gun

for all that i was worth

I picture this as a couple, one side is endlessly being hurt by the other ,but she won't let go because she loves the other too much. She knew that she have to let go but she can't .This is my perception :) ,nicely written!
