Bloodletting (lyric)

Bloodletting (lyric)

A Poem by prettybretty

I still cry to myself
And I hurt myself

I always wished you the best
But sometimes, sweetness
I wished I were dead

After the euphoria
You made me so unhappy

Well who's sorry now?

I'm giving you back your love
It's too heavy
I'm giving you back your love
'Cause I wasn't ready

To lose myself!

I'm letting go of you slowly
I admit I was wrong
But you're not that holy
And I don't pray to you no more
Got nothing to say to you

'Cause I'm bloodletting my love

Ridding the disease
I'm coming back to ME
Like learning to breathe post-surgery

And I can't believe the illusion of you
or the times we had no more

I'm rendering your love as incomplete
A scribble that looked like a masterpiece

Oh how the mighty fall.
