Coffee

Coffee

A Poem by prettybretty

He found me in a trunk,
told me I was outta luck.
It only took a day to fall in love,
and on the second we got wasted
in a cheap motel and it was kinda fun.
We don't mind bein' on the run.

He told me I should find myself,
not to rely on others' validation.
I asked him if he liked me,
he said that of course I was nice.
Especially if I smiled.

I asked him if he liked me.
No answer, he just got us some coffee.

On the run.

He cared for me,
more than a million dollars.
And we went home.
