to Dorothy

A Poem by prettybretty

i'm not a perfect lady,
i don't get down to Debussy
nor do i have china cups of tea.

my face so sweet and youthful?
let me be truthful,
i am only me.

i walk around unkempt,
and i wake up at 3.

i listen to songs like
"BBHMM", occasionally.

i can't afford to shop at H&M
but S&M sounds interesting.

i got my education from Madonna
and Sophie Tucker,
and i'm sure, if needed,
i'd commit crimes of the first degree.

i don't go to cotillions,
and my idea of coming out
happened when i was 13.

oh, i could tell you the world,
but it'd be meaningless.
for i must confess,
you'll never know me.
today i hate pineapple
but i might like it in the morning.
