Like a Swan

Like a Swan

A Poem by prettybretty

I'm missing you
like a swan
without white feathers
without a lake to swim upon.

I remember our glory days
I gazed upon your handsome face
and you showed me the way to love.

Since you went away
I sit here every single day
waiting for you to appear.
And I'm like a ghost in the mirror
throughout the years,
needing you to walk along.
But you're just gone,
no star to wish upon.

Because you sang your swan song.

Again, this is just beautiful. Your writing is so elegant. I admire that and just read your work in awe, at its subtle rawness and soft yet striking tone. Just masterful, my friend.
