Purpose

Purpose

A Poem by prettybretty

i desire to be the ultimate image of eternal purity & virginity.
to live and die unbearably untouched.

i wish to be an actor so great that Falconetti herself would silently weep like Joan of Arc.

i hailed Mary the other day.  again and again.  on my knees.
though i was not adorned with my rosary.

i had a cousin named Diana.  i knew her before i knew who she was.  she was pure in her white wedding dress.  i always wanted to be a princess.

of course i want to die.  but not before the beginning, nor at my greatest height.  i want what is mine.

i must stand tall to get it.  i don't care if the thorns draw my blood.  i will get to my rose.  and it shall not wither.

i will die someday.  but it never will.  and that is called "purpose".
