My Left Arm

My Left Arm

A Poem by prettybretty

I hate these damn scars
on my left arm
I wish I'd never done it
I must not have been thinking of you
And all the things you do for me
I should have listened to you
I'm ashamed and I hope you never see
my left arm
Because I love you too much
I should have never touched
my skin with a blade
A reminder of the mistakes I have made
I'm afraid I don't want you to see
Because you're the greatest thing that
ever happened to me
