I wish you were kissed

upon every last scar

I wish you could see

how beautiful you are

even the flowers wither and die

at the thought that you

think that you are not

and they weep at the fact

that you have ever been hurt

and even the stars sigh and cry

up there in the sky at night

wondering why the most beautiful diamond

does not know how to shine

and it even breaks

this heart of mine
