Hole

Hole

A Poem by prettybretty

There's a hole where my heart should be
I don't know why you can never see
If I'm a lock, you're the key
I want to be set free

There's a hole where my head should be
In my bed I sit solemnly
I wish that you were next to me
Quietly as I observe you timidly

I don't know why I let this get to me
I don't know why I'm so blind I cannot see
That you & I were never meant to be
That you & I will never be something

Will I ever be unchained
There's a drizzle of rain
& I want so badly to see again
& from the start I have asked myself
If I even have a heart at all
You are my downfall

& the rain falls down
But it makes no sound
