Airglow

A Poem by moog-drika
"

After a looooooong time.

"

My insomnia has got up early tonight.

It’s zero dark hundred now

floating across the cadence of tangle.

While the aurora prepares to nourish the profile,

I take a chance to sense the mirage extracted from its maxim.

Appetizing it is.

Simultaneously,

the navy starts to fade itself slightly

and invites cyanic steam to float.

All the sedate dots keep blinking

until my insomnia falls asleep..

This is a perfect weave showing a poet who's loving vocabulary & precise expression & intelligence, but not having this sound at all clunky or cerebral, but instead it flows with pungent original imagery (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Thank you so much my friend. It really means a lot.
Those sedate blinking dots have kept me company on many a sleepless night. I too an insomniac. Maybe it's a poet thing. That's usually the time my muse decides to call. Good to read you again.

I am lucky i don't have sleeping problems I do wake up some mornings and write for an hour and go back to sleep but sleep rarely eludes me i am pretty sure it is because i meditate so frequently it is easy for me to clear my mind and truth be told it is generally pretty empty anywho

I know. Unwanted guest. >.
This is why I count sheep. Though that is getting harder due to the heavy snow.
Then I wonder if sheep count humans, do fish have this problem, is that the alarm.
This is why we've all gone nuts.
