Powwow

Powwow

A Poem by moog-drika

Cyclone turns rosy
as halo drowns in ardent serenity.
Both the doubt and mettle bargain
for making a change.

Renewal happens; a dash.

Serenity drowns in halo
as it savors classy cyclone.

Situation cycles and laughs.

This poem makes me think of how life involves constant change. It is cyclical, and we often find ourselves back at the place we started, but our cycles also make an impact on the world around us. Sometimes, we get so caught up in our own cycles that we don't see the impact we have on others. We need our cycles (sleep, eating, breathing) to survive, but we also have the power to decide which direction our cycles take us.

Your poem is a powerful depiction of why it's mostly not worth it to me, to engage in political discussions these days. The ways that people react to things is so chaotic, it's like a cyclone & impossible to NOT get tangled up in circular logic based on emotional venting more than the reality of various situations. Reading this poem makes me feel the same way I feel when I'm done trying to follow the various pow-wow's that happen on social media . . . I'm so tangled up, I decide to go write a poem about the moon instead of trying to pin down any lucidity from within the swirling maelstrom! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

This poem is indeed chaotic, but life has never been otherwise. I liked the metaphoric use of the cyclone; it represents the transformations we go through every once in a while. The last line confuses me, I can't tell whether you're taking or loosing control. Awesome write. Thank you for sharing.
