Okay! You've thrown down the gauntlet. Anyone who does haiku after reading this will have to up their game. This is incredibly fresh writing! Thousands write about the sea, but I've never seen it done with so much originality . . . "plush sound" . . . "subdued seashore" . . . "tides bribed" . . . it goes on & on. Ways to describe that scene, which make it a completely different scene than one expects. Also I love it when haikus are clustered. I never get enuf with just one haiku! This is top notch writing! Thanks for a pleasure with my morning coffee (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Beautiful and interesting poetic haikus....." falsely accuse time of theft." Many people say that time is a thief, but I guess it is what you make of it. Thank you for the lesson.

Yes! Thanks so much for pouring your thoughts. Means a lot.
Yes, each one is a nugget of a wordsmith's creative craft.. 'subdued seashore'... nice assonance... and the idea of 'abducting solitude' is intriguing and arresting.
So too, the criminal activity follows in the next haiku.. with the bribery and theft of the tides.
Finally 'the chunk of offing' - What a phrase... grabbed me immediately - and ''invaded the cavity of my mind'! What a lovely image it was, such a vast chunk into the small hollow of the shell...
I loved it!

I got a real feel for the ebb and flow of the tide here moog-drika. Saw those waves roll in and then recede. Beach left with dampened sand and littered with sea shells. I enjoyed your haikus. Apart from being visual, I also heard the song of the sea. Nicely conveyed.

Haven't seen anything here for a long time that caused me to focus and open and be receptive to meaning as much as these three haikus. I think I know where you're going in the first two, but the third still eludes me. What exactly is "offing?"

I was actually looking for a word to describe this scenario in this 3rd haiku and found out that this word is exactly what I wanted, although I know it's a rarely used one. Hope now you will get a clearer view. Thank you so much for stopped by. It means a lot. :D
