Rotgut

A streak of an obscure oomph,

     -tongue it with a barking elegance.

Ingestion continues

   until the tang fades.

Inside it lies an overripe chasm,

while gravity weakens itself.

Lemonish double-cross and wham!

I used to love the word "rotgut" but I forgot about it, since you never hear it anymore. That's why I love how you dug up this old concept & gave it a fresh new gulp of lemony tang.
