The Right Way

The Right Way

A Poem by Rita MacGumerait
"

I'm not sure how many of you will understand this. The truth is none of you may. But I do.

"

I’m walking on Sunshine,

I’m falling on grass!

Oh, ye with little faith in the heavens!

Look to the sky! And the ground you shall see,

As though truth were but a gentle thing.

Stand forth in pride and mockery,

To watch your eyes swell!

Thy simplest truths match nothing to mine

Go! Flee! Leave me of your company!

Let me lay my head against the softest pillow,

Wash myself in the coolest bath!

Give me my leave to once again dream of you!

In your misery do not fear,

But rejoice for the heart has seen!

Leave the ears to hear.

Hmm I'm not quite sure what it means but to me, it has a religious feel to it. It seems about how people will never be able to match the Lord no matter how much pride and confidence they have in their twisted ideas. I might have gotten it wrong, but the strength of this poem probably lies in its ambiguity.

Keep Writing. ^___^

I don't quite understand it, but it's deeply expressive of a joy at discovering something special. I enjoyed this alot.
