Fading Few SecondsA Poem by M O R P H I N ECold, winter night.
My breath is leaving me this time. I’m staring up at the skies Hoping what I’m looking for, I’ll find All of this, it’s torturous The way we suffer and assume we’ll get out of it. Stay cautious. The sun doesn’t always rise the next morning. They said a storm was coming Filtering through this world’s lining Prepare for a massacre that will shatter everything that’s fine Bleeding paper hearts on cement paved roads Laid aimlessly, without any clue of where to go “I’m searching for home” Is it me, or did the words float into the air from a beating heart. “Take me home” I could understand I just didn’t know how. Be still. There’s no such thing as home. I’ve been barricading myself inside a heart with four walls. Everyone I knew decided to pack up and go There is no family. Not a single person I call my own. There’s only me and so tonight, I’ll lay here and die all alone. A smile broke out on my face. As the storm roamed through the world and found it’s place. A white light took my eyes Then a pain set in and took my life. We all lay there, aimlessly without a clue of where to go. We all want to go home. We can understand but we just don’t know. © 2011 M O R P H I N EReviews
