Cascade Dreams

Cascade Dreams

A Poem by M O R P H I N E

Underneath the sun, I rest
Watching the clouds turn into images that I wish
I could touch
I see my life in different stages
Everything  is almost  real
It seems like I can stand tall and be anything I want

The heavy sunlight hits my skin
Making me feel safe
Warmth enters my heart and meekly, I smile

I close my eyes and breath in the fresh air
Surrounded by freshly cut grass
My dreams are not so far
I feel close to home.

And as I lay there
I smile happily, as I dream

Wonderful write with such vivid imagery. I loved how you painted such a tranquil and pleasant scene of nature and sought inspiration from it. Very inspiring write! :)

This has a very comforting tone and feel to it. I also think you have a clever imagination which is strongly expressed in the poem. The poem makes me feel that you make life like a fantasy or you wish it was. You would dream of a place and feel like your really there almost tricking the reader that you are actually there.

The speaker seems to be motivating himself to have strong hope and faith for the dreams and gaols he wants to accomplish...very nice♥

Reading this, I get a good image of a late summer afternoon, just sitting in the park, pondering. Your writing evokes a good sense of sight, and the fact that you add in the dreams, and being anything you want adds a sense of surrealism and imagination to it. Nice write.
