misguided interpretations...

misguided interpretations...

A Poem by Shaunta R. Edwards

 lying all alone

lying to myself.

lying to the world, possibly? maybe?

listening to misguided words...

words so nonchalant, so plain as day...

disturbed by my own interpretations

looking at the pale dilapidated figure staring back in the mirror...

she would love to overtake my soul wouldn't she

misguided notions

leading to absurd misinterpretations....

self infliction is the addiction i suppose

words lost never to be transposed

a sparkle in her eye

she loves to see me suffer

lying alone with my own misguided heart

hoping the translation will lead to salvation

never the less satisfaction strikes short

only left with this odd little body but hardly lacking the soul

love may be lost... but isn't that what lost and found is for?

misguided hearts

misguided interpretations
