Chapter 2A Chapter by Tara♥Undefined♥How far will a teen mother go to protect her baby? Find out in this chapter who really causes the family's trouble. As Alice drove off into the night with Jacob in his carseat, she began to think about all the times she had messed up. She wanted to give a good life to her and her son, but with her disorder, she couldn't put him in a normal environment for more than a day. It was sad.
She pulled over to a pharmacy/gas station to get some snacks and baby formula for the road. Liz was supposed to meet her in Dallas(Elizabeth absolutely hates dry hot places though.) Alice strapped Jacod to his baby sling ang walked into the store. She had to turn her head to hide from a lone police officer standing in the corner of the small room.
Alice grabbed as many hogies as she could and a few t-shirts that were hanging on a rack. Luckily some of them came in Jacob's size.
Jacob looked just like his mother, except for his eye color, like his dad's. A hazel outline with a saffron center. Blazing like the sun. He never met his dad. He was like most teenage fathers, he never hung around to take of his responsibilities. His name was Evander. It meant a mythilogical character. He might as well have been. It was as if his dissappearance phased no one. Like he had never existed. But his mother was also like most teenage mothers. She was completely and utterly in love.
Alice was shaken by the sound of a car engine outside and as she turned around she saw the blur of her blue catilac moving away. The man in the driver's seat had on a ski mask, but she could tell he was smiling at her anyway. Alice exploded in rage as the smiling Jacob grabbed hold of his mother, knowing what was happening even more thoroughly than Alice. His smile was not nessesarily evil, but it had no kindness behind it. He was prepared to help his mother fight. He was the one who caused her to go into her frenzies, but even he didn't undersand how or why. he was prepared to kill again.
Alice was running faster than a normal human should be able to run but suddenly she stopped and shook her head. As she turned she noticed that Jacob was missing.
"Jacob?" she whispered with a tinge of terror and regret. Jacob was gone, but where is the question. As Alice began to fade into unconscienceness she spotted the car and the tiny blue carseat was not empty anymore. Somehow, the man who got the car managed to grab hold of Jacob as if he had been waiting for Alice to rage. As if it was the one thing he wanted. © 2010 Tara♥Undefined♥Author's Note
