The ObliviousA Poem by Tara♥Undefined♥
I feel bad for children sometimes. They don't know what lies ahead. They smile and they dream their dreams. The think their life won't change. They think the world is at its end when their toy breaks, or their mom refuses them a treat. They are oblivious. Oblivious to frustration and pain. They do not see the Hell we see. They see a world a fantasies.
They can't see the pain of a man who lost his job. They can't feel the cold and hunger of a bum on the street. They don't understand what causes a broken heart to break. Now that I think about it though, I almost feel jealous of them. They don't have to feel this way. They don't have to cry and fear. They don't lose their world. They can be oblivious. © 2010 Tara♥Undefined♥Author's Note
