which way should I go?

which way should I go?

A Poem by MoE

A fork in the road,
which way should I go?
one way leading to God's humble abode,
the other leads to my life that I use to know.
I remember the accident well,
it was awfully fast, yet surprisingly thrilling.
The car was spinning so much that I wanted to yell,
for I was being taken unwilling.
But now that I am here between life & death,
I'm not sure which to choose.
I am about to run out of breath,
and that is what I'm afraid to lose.
I know I will be missed by my friends and family that in my heart I hold so dear.
I don't want to leave but I also want to see whats over there.
I hope that God will make this all clear
for this is more than I can possibly bare.
I hear prayers from the people I love asking you to bring me back
for if I leave it would cause them all great woe.
But still the answer to my question is what I lack.
Which way should I go?

Hey! This is some deep writing. I could feel the struggle of the character as he decides which path to take. I'm sorry to hear about your friend, by the way. :c It amazes me how you symbolized her choices to that of a fork in the road. Brilliant, really!

This reminds me a bit of The Road Not Taken in such a way that it was about how the decisions you make can affect your life.

Great job. Keep writing!
