My WorldA Poem by MoECall it daydreaming Or just wishful thinking... But when I close my eyes, I see something a bit different from reality. It's a place made out of love. In my world, It's always a white winter... Ice everywhere yet isn't slippery. Snow that isn't cold, the water is a lovely shade of purple, and the grass a deep blue. Flowers rising up through the snow, sprouting more than 10 times the normal size, with a fragrance to match. This is where Innocent love blossoms. Nothing more than a kiss passes between them. Young women and men soon turn into children for this isn't a world for adults. I see young lovers running about, off to have find an adventure. The boy playing a song to his girl, while strumming his guitar, he sings -terribly- words of love. When hearing the love in his voice, her heart fills with bliss. He suddenly stops, as he is lost in her eyes, he grabs her hand. As their fingers start to intertwine, She whispers in his ear: "The best part of all our adventures together was holding your hand." He smiles at her, as he slowly lifts her hand up to kiss it. She looks deep into his eyes, and suddenly sees him age from a young boy to an old man. Her smile vanishes, as he quietly fades away then disappears completely. Her hand, now floating in mid-air, She realizes that he was only a figure of her imagination. She notices her hand has aged from a young girl's to a old woman's in a matter of seconds. She realizes, it was a world made with love, for love, but she never really knew love. She lived in her lovely world, Lonely, she turned into stone waiting for love a that would never come. As I open my eyes, I see one who has been through many things Young by age But with an old soul. Loved but has never been loved in return. Never knowing real love, I ended up rejecting any chance of it. Being hurt many times, but still longing for it one day. I know my true love will find me and sweep me off my feet. Forever Waiting...
