Drops On a Table

Drops On a Table

A Poem by monike
"

I don't really know how to describe this.

"

A body,

Flat backed agains't the wood,

A girl in a park,

Lying on a table,

Staring,

As the clouds,

Roll,

Passing,

Flowing,

Past the body on the table,

Going by in truth,

Slowing,

Stopping in her mind,

As she gazes at the beauty if the gray unfeeling sky,

A drop falls,

Onto her face,

Turned upward toward the sky,

A drop on her arm,

Hanging off the side of the slab,

A drop, in to the pool of dispear,

Flooding her thoughts,

A drop bursting from her open eyes,

Falling down her cheek,

Onto the hardwood planks,

Of a playground table.

Very eloquent. Lovely and scerene. I like the one-word lines. It really adds to the poem. You've got a lot of potential as a writer. Keep it up.
