A Poem by WhisperedScreams
"

"Stop. I can't take much more of the Pretending... Creating this Allusion that you and me could ever be..."

"
Stop. I can't take much more of the
Pretending. Lying to my face, creating this
Allusion. That you and me could ever be.
Please. Don't try to play dumb.
Because... I've been here before, and I know you kind.
Understand. Every day that you lead me down this crocked road
where the trees hand low and there are cracks in the concrete is
Never-ending. You create this painful cycle where you lift me up
only to tear me down, whenever you talk to her.
Lies. That's all I hear; that's all I've even known.
You tell me that you need me, then leave, for the girl that you actually love.
Not me.
Why?
Why can't you see what you're doing to me?
Nice guy? in my dreams, because if this were a dream,
we would be happy and she would be lost on that twisted road that I've been down so many times.
So?
Where does this leave me?
Lost; Without Love; Without You.
Alone.
But how do i appear?
Fine.
