I wish

Just a few things I would like

I wish we could see each other every day,

go to the same school,

be together more.

I wish I had the courage to hold your hand,

hug you,

give you the kiss you asked for.

I wish I could show you how messed up I am,

why I hate yelling,

all my self-doubt.

I wish I could tell you I want you,

I need you,

I love you.

I wish you knew who I really was,

why I wear my mask,

that you saved my life.

This poem touched me with its truth about self regrets. To not take chances because of precieved failure or rejection. The fear of love instead of hope for love, and chance for it. Opportunities in life are limited and may never come again. If I could go back in my life I would learn to be braver and live life in madness. Not caring about failure or judgement. Just to live in the moment and laugh as well as love more. Thank you for sharing your poem.
