Call Me Baby

Call Me Baby

A Poem by Monday Parker

Call me baby again

I like how it sounds coming from your mouth

Forget that I’m not yours and this is false

Comfort and closeness

Just don’t think about it

And call me baby again

I have to admit, I had to look at the reviews to see how many people would call you Baby. Quite a few. But I don't know about it just being a 'decent' poem. I loved it. It has a real sweet harsh edge to it. Enough aggression to carry through any comment, especially hypocracy and falsity. In fact the more I read it, the more I like. Thank you for posting this. Great read for the morning

I like your poetry very much. You have some wonderful sounds in the three I have read - they speak of someone who loves words very much. My kind of poet :)

This kind of reminds me of an old black & white movie
Double indemnity. Where the lead man kept calling
his potential lover "Baby" Nice write, enjoyed it...

Baby.

See what you made me do?

Forget that I'm not yours.... just a fleeting feeling to enjoy and then pass ... Very nice.
