I Can Still

I Can Still

A Poem by Monday Parker

I can’t help but to remember the way we loved each other

How you would hold me

Clinging on like you were falling

Pulled in close to you

I can still remember the smell of the skin around your neck

And how perfectly my face fit into its crook.

Now I sit here so alone

Tears streaming down my face for you

After my desperate attempt to get you back

Explodes I my hands

Sucking you farther away.

I wish I just had the words to say

To make you fall back in love with me

I would change what ever you wanted me to

To make it work

To have you back

Anything just to hold you again….

I really enjoyed he message of this poem. Who wouldn't do anything to get their lost love back? Once you've realized what you've lost, you'd do anything. Great flow and wording. I loved it!
