I threw my soul to you

Pouring myself out like a pitcher

Hoping that you feel

My aura

Pick up my scent

Only nothing happens during the night

I go home empty

Still cold

Like I was when I flung my warmth

Out like a life preserver

When the repetitive sun rises

I have to laugh to myself

When you say

I felt you close last night Monday

I thought you were coming over

“I felt you close” she said

If only she knew

That I sent my soul to her

In the dark air of night

To wrap around her

Close her in

I wanted her to feel me

To remember my scent

ouch! This one hurt...nothing like loving, needing, and being obsessed and the other person taking it lightly or not knowing just how deeply you feel. this reads so vulnerable and painful and heart-felt. way to knock us out w/ raw emotion!
