Please Dear Friend.

Please Dear Friend.

A Poem by Monday Parker

Please lend me your

Depth and courage dear friend to over come this

To gather my wits and be free of all of this

Send me your strength dear friend

And I will return it in the end

When all of this is over

And I am free of these binding ties

These compressing emotions that have been holding me

All of this time.

Please dear friend

I need your kind words your steady ways

Your support please friend

Lead my way

Please let me lean a little

Won’t you guide me away?

Things have become too hard –too ugly for me to stay.

Please dear friend send me your strength

Or carry me away.

Nice. I feel that you too look for others for strength. I just watch and observe, but you actually step up to them, that takes even more courage.
