A Poem by Monday Parker

Yesterday I sat in our sunlit kitchen

I thought back

Like actually… Pondered

Contemplated

Traveled back through my timeline

To pinpoint a moment

Or a period of time

Where I was this    happy

This satisfied with every aspect

Of where I stood in life

I realized then

I have never been this content

This in love

With this devotion

I exhaled when I met him

And I have never held

My breath again.

I found myself when I met him.

I normally am not a huge fan of poetry. I always found it unnecessarily vague. Occasionally I would find some good stuff (shout out to Kell-Bell, to anyone reading this, check out her poem called Ocean), but for the most part I thought poetry was kinda stupid. I really like your poems though! I've read several of them, and they tell a story and paint a clear picture in my head. Keep it up!

It must be wonderful to be totally at peace with one's life situation. A glimpse through the works on this sight reveals how many cannot say that. May that peace never leave you.
