Stillness

Stillness

A Poem by Monday Parker

Is it too early for me?

To be having these thoughts.

These down the road daydreams

That all include him…

I can’t help it, but I have thought

Of nothing but him

Days added up to weeks

We have seen each other

Almost everyday

And still I crave

More time wrapped up next to him

I can get enough of his lips

And calm coolness

Settles something wild in me

Cliché ….

But those moments in his arms

The fast spinning world

Stills

And for that moment

There is nothing else

Only me and him.

Your first sentence should have a question mark (?): 'Is it too early for me to be having these thoughts?'.

The overall poem has good beginning, middle and finale.

Well done!
