Last Page Of His ChapterA Poem by Monday Parker
Well…
I certainly feel this… Unsettled raw tremor Stinging sensation pulsating throughout The clarity Understanding why things have been the way they were He belonged to someone else This whole time I was writing his name over and over Drying out my pens Professing my venerable feelings for him And he was involved. I should have known I should have sensed more than I did I knew something was off…I just thought it was The drugs or fear to commit…Not that he was already Committed to a girl with chest tattoos… I feel for her… I feel sad for her emotions of love to him. She deserves better… He was unfaithful….Laid up in my bed For months While he lied, she was just a friend. He played us both. She can have him…Not that I have a choice. I choose to walk away… I won’t say a thing to her I won’t wreck his games… I will just take myself out of the mix… And wish her the best…Even though he’s going to hurt her. He will do this again. It just won’t be with me.
