Parking Lot

Parking Lot

A Poem by Monday Parker

My lips you crave… You say…

But not to kiss

My fingers you ask for

But not for touch.

You beg me to please you

But do NOTHING to please me

Nothing

Not a sweet word

Or a tug of my hair

Nothing…

Yet, you call and ask

Month after month

For my mouth and finger tips

And…I allow it

Because I like your face

Enjoy your longing….

When I receive nothing but disgrace

In a silent hope you will want me

For something more than your

One sided pleasure

You had me fooled

Or at least blindsided

Thinking there was something more.

I see now

Its nothing

But my own self disrespect

Over and over

I see now

And I allowed it.
